Physical Characteristics:
Mountain Dusky Salamanders look extremely similar in both color and size to the Northern Dusky Salamander. However, the Mountain Dusky has a rounder and longer tail. They can grow to be 3-4 inches in length.
Preferred habitat:
Wet wooded uplands, under debris near streams, springs and other wet spots
