Physical Characteristics:
Long-Tailed Salamanders typically have yellow coloring but can also be yellowish orange or yellowish brown. They have black spots across their entire body. The tail is 2/3rds of the entire length of the salamander. They can grow to be 4-8 inches in length.
Preferred habitat:
Slow moving streams, sinkhole ponds, swamps and peat accumulating wetland
