Physical Characteristics:

Four-Toed Salamanders have a brown back with grey sides covered in dark speckles. The front feet and hind feet both have four toes instead of five. They can grow to be 2-4 inches in length.

Preferred habitat:

Wooded swamps and peat accumulating wetlands
