Physical Characteristics:
Eastern Tiger Salamanders are the largest in NJ. They have black to dark brown coloring with an olive to yellow underside. They also have olive to yellow colored spots on their back. Eastern Tiger Salamanders can grow to be 6-13 inches in length.

Vernal pools and surrounding upland habitats
