Physical Characteristics:
The Eastern Spadefoot has brownish coloring with two yellow lines that move down the back from each eye. They can occasionally be extremely dark in coloring, but this is uncommon. On the side of each hind foot there is a sharp arcing spade. The Eastern Spadefoot has less warts than most toads and can grow to be 2-3 inches in length.
